David P. Matsey graduated from Wabash College in 1966 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1969 with a Juris Doctor. Mr. Matsey served as Magistrate with the Starke Circuit Court from 1978 to 1992. He was appointed Judge of the Starke Circuit Court in 1992 and served through 2004. He has been a member of the American Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association since 1969. He is also a member of the Starke County and the Porter County Bar Associations, as well as the Porter County American Inns of Court.. Mr. Matsey served on the Indiana Sentencing Policy Study Committee, the Probation Services Study Committee, and the Indiana Methamphetamine Task Force. He also served three terms as Board member of the Indiana Judicial Conference and served on the Civil Instructions Committee, Probation Committee, and the Community Relations Committee. Mr. Matsey maintains a general practice of law with emphasis on litigation, family and criminal law, and mediation services. Mr. Matsey began his association with the law firm of Millbranth & Bush in January of 2005.
